Capillary Freeing Tool
The capillary freeing tool is a fit for purpose solution designed to free stainless-steel tubing within the production string. Recognizing the need for a more time and cost-efficient answer to stuck cap strings, the experts at Yellowjacket, in conjunction with customer feedback, designed a first-of-its-kind system to solve the issue.
Most scenarios are successfully completed by utilizing the integrated wash tip to free the cap string of any obstructions. On rare occasions where the cap string cannot be freed, the integral sand-jet cutter can be activated to sever the capillary tubing. In most cases, depending on the cap string configuration, the production zone can be acidized during this process, saving an additional trip.
By offering multiple methods of retrieval, the likelihood of added trips is reduced, and in many cases eliminated altogether. The result enables the customer to resume operations with minimal disruption to business and at significant cost savings versus traditional methods.
